Here’s how our internal delegates have been preparing to put their best foot forward this weekend.

Last week, alongside my Co-Head of MUN Club, Ravjoth Brar, I delivered a workshop for our internal delegates, providing a full crash course on how to prepare effectively for HabsMUN 2026.

During the session, we guided students through the key elements of successful conference preparation. This included conducting thorough pre-conference research, writing strong and structured resolutions, and understanding conference procedure and committee layout. Our aim was to ensure that every delegate feels confident, informed, and ready to participate actively when the conference begins.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Stay in character: represent your country’s real foreign policy positions and priorities throughout the debate
  • Build alliances: work with other Member States using diplomacy to develop collaborative, practical solutions
  • Participate actively: don’t hesitate to raise your placard and contribute to discussion
  • Focus on quality over quantity: deliver clear, impactful speeches and thoughtful POIs
  • Revise procedure: familiarise yourself with THIMUN procedure beforehand so you can navigate debate confidently

The buzz of excitement for the conference can already be felt among our students, and this workshop was only the beginning of what’s to come.
